In a connected world, keeping your patients and your personal information safe is essential. This course will familiarize healthcare providers with the common types of scams they may encounter online, as well as recommendations on how to best protect their practice and personal data.

Sal Rodas is the managing director for DentiTek, chief product officer for SleepArchitect’s and business development director for the Foundation for Airway Health. He is a published author, speaker, and dental and medical technology evaluator. Mr. Rodas has presented hundreds of CE hours to dental and medical professionals, both nationally and internationally, in the areas of sleep medicine, airway management, 3D technology, and practice growth. Mr. Rodas has more than 20 years of professional senior-level executive experience. Throughout his career, he has worked with leading companies in the medical and dental sleep industry on innovative solutions, with the objective being to help practices grow.

Prior to this, Mr. Rodas worked in the systems security industry. As a computer programmer, he has developed solutions that range from card access control systems to deploying cloud-based applications. In this capacity, Mr. Rodas has assisted to solve computer crime investigations, lectured on electronic surveillance and counter-surveillance issues and HIPAA regulations.

Mr. Rodas earned his MBA degree from Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts; holds a Bachelor of Information Technology degree; and has served as a U.S. Marine.
