There is growing enthusiasm in our country for becoming more healthy. There are numerous pieces to the “health care pie,” and many are in the dental arena! The more of these pieces we incorporate in our practices, the better our patient outcomes will be… and the more successful our practices will be.
Upon completion, participants will be able to:
…describe chronic diseases other than heart attack, stroke, and cancer which may be attributed to poor airways.
…describe behavioral issues linked to mouth breathing and airway issues including mental retardation which have been recognized for nearly 200 years.
…describe very early treatment for breathing issues which may chart a different future for our children, enhance their quality of life, their health spans, and the health of our society as a whole.
William M. Hang, DDS, MSD, graduated from the University of Illinois College of Dentistry and the University of Minnesota Orthodontic program where he briefly taught orthodontics. He was in clinical practice for 50 years.
Having been traditionally trained, he extracted teeth for crowding and often retracted the teeth. For the last 40 years, however, he has been a pioneer in non-retractive treatments to improve the airway in patients of all ages. Having lectured and published internationally, Dr. Hang received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the AAPMD for his work.
Now semi-retired, Dr. Hang founded OrthO2Health™ to teach and mentor doctors about airway healthy orthodontic treatments for all ages
