Craniosacral Fascial Therapy – The Gillespie Approach
Holly Steflik, LMT + Kim Sherlock, LMT

May 11, 2022 @ 9:00 pm - 10:00 pm EDT

“The Missing Piece for Optimal Cranio-Dental-Airway Treatment, Development and Well-Being”

This webinar is an informational opportunity to share the modality known as Craniosacral Fascial Therapy with dental professionals. It is a gentle and non-invasive therapy. CFT releases fascial strain that often pulls into the cranio-dental structures. CFT complements dental and orthodontic treatments and optimizes the outcome of myofunctional therapy.

Fascial strain is often overlooked in the treatment of dental and airway issues. Craniosacral Fascial Therapy, developed by Dr. Barry Gillespie, a periodontist, is an innovative approach to releasing tightness in the fascial system that often pulls into oral structures affecting development and function of the cranio-dental system and airway.

You will learn…

1.The Craniosacral Fascial system is based on the theory that the Craniosacral and Fascial systems are not separate but one interconnected system. The oral structures and airway lie within this system.

2.Fascia is a critical component in dental, orthodontic and airway treatments. The fascial web encompasses the tongue, floor of the mouth, oral facial muscles, hard/soft palate and teeth. Fascial strain must be addressed for optimal outcome.

3.Fascial strain begins in utero and accumulates throughout life from physical and emotional traumas. CFT is a gentle hands-on modality. It releases tightness to enhance the flow of cerebrospinal fluid providing an opportunity to the body, brain and nervous system to heal and maintain homeostasis.

Holly Steflik has been a licensed massage therapist since 1997 specializing in CFT in combination with myofunctional therapy. She has a private practice in Chapel Hill, NC working with all ages and especially loves working with kids and babies.

Kim Sherlock lives and works in West Chester, Pennsylvania. She is a licensed massage therapist. For over a decade, she has specialized in Craniosacral Fascial Therapy also known as CFT. Kim has also trained in Myofunctional Therapy.

Kim and Holly were personally trained by Dr. Barry Gillespie, the founder of CFT to carry on his teachings. They teach CFT throughout the US and internationally.
