Pat McBride, PhD, CCSH

  • Sleep Disorders affect 50-70 million in the US alone
  • 70% adults report poor sleep at least once a month
  • 70% of high school students sleep fewer than the recommended 8-9 hours
  • Substantial racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic disparities exist in sleep health
  • Those with longer work hours and lower socioeconomic status report less sleep duration and/or lower sleep quality
Airway / Sleep problems are epidemic affecting all ages and every part of our society. As members of a leading organization in interdisciplinary collaboration and education for optimal airway growth and function, we need to be proactive in identifying those in need of care and providing access for all.
