Kimberly Benkert is a pioneer in the development of and scope of Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy and is a nationally respected Registered Dental Hygienist.  She graduated from Loyola University, College of Dentistry, has a Master of Public Health in Health Policy and Dental Public Health, is Certified in Orofacial Myology through the IAOM,  and has earned Fellowship status in both Orofacial Myology and TMD through the American Academy of Dental Hygiene. She’s been practicing as a Certified Orofacial Myologist in Illinois for 40+ years, was a faculty member at the University of Illinois – College of Dentistry; a clinical instructor with John Barnes for Myofascial Release therapy; completed Rocabado and Upledger Institute training in MFR; and has taken Buyteko Breathing training. She is a Past President of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association. Kimberly is an influencer and change agent creating change within associations and influencing states at the regulatory and national level to include oral health and orofacial myology issues in policies and funding. She lectures and teaches training courses nationally and internationally on Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy, infant to adult pre-to-post-TOTs therapy, a MYO Munchee therapy program; OMT for muscular TMD and Myofascial Release therapy, and programs for eliminating oral behaviors of digit sucking, clenching, muscle bracing, and bruxism.  She provides consulting services to offices and corporations and is a member of several other oral health associations.  Her clinical therapy offices are located in the Chicago suburban area.
