Pediatrics Airway Orthodontics Mini-Residency: Module 3

- Mini-Residency Objectives:
- To get insights on craniofacial growth and development
- To see the interactions between genetics and function guiding either a physiological or a pathological craniofacial growth and development
- To understand the causes of malocclusions
- To recognize a developing malocclusion at an early age
- To recognize the connections between sleep and breathing disorders with disturbances in the craniofacial growth and development
- To learn how to screen and work in a team when treating sleep and breathing disorders in children
- To learn how to treat the causes of malocclusions instead of the consequences, crooked teeth.
- To combine various techniques for treating a developing malocclusion in a child producing stable results at an early age
- To learn how to work in association with an Orofacial Myologist / Myofunctional Therapist to improve the oral functions
The Mini-Residency is divided in four modules of two days each, that include theory and a hands-on component.
