SLEEP, SPIRITUALITY & CONSCIOUSNESS: Exploring Dimensions Beyond Body and Mind
Nancy H. Rothstein, MBA The Sleep Ambassador®

Wednesday, September 23 @ 9:00 pm - 10:00 pm EDT

This webinar will explore the intersection of sleep, spirituality, and consciousness through both practical and reflective perspectives and will explore the cultural and religious practices that go back centuries and millennium connecting sleep and the “night journey of the soul.” Where does this emanate from? What is the intention of these rituals and practices? How does it impact our sleep and our waking hours? The challenges surrounding sleep in modern life are discussed including technology habits, stress, and disrupted routines, and how they impact the quality of our sleep and explore whether we are compromising another of sleep’s restorative purposes. Simple strategies and behavioral shifts that support more natural and restorative sleep, and in turn, enable our walking hours to be all the more vibrant and enhance our overall wellbeing are examined.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

o Understand the impact poor sleep can have on our wellbeing for body, mind, and spirit

o Spark interest in going beyond the physiological aspects of sleep to more seemingly esoteric realms, albeit not new in many cultures

o Learn new techniques to enhance falling and staying asleep for more restorative rest towards the goal of sustainably healthy sleep
