Inefficient postures contribute to shortening and neuromuscular dysfunction of the diaphragm, impairing both breathing and core activation.  This webinar will present a simple system which can guide clinicians in their mechanical and functional assessment of the diaphragm and present guidelines for training efficient posture which enhances diaphragmatic function.

By the end of the webinar, the participant will be able to:

• Discuss and analyze the valid and reliable Saliba Postural Classification System (SPCS) and the effect of alignment on breathing and core activation.
• Correlate each of the six Saliba Postural Classifications to diaphragmatic function.
• Apply the concepts of a Vertical/Vertical classification to a plan of care for patients with breathing disorders.
