A Collaborative Approach to Airway Health: The Orthodontist’s Role

The role and obligation of the dental team is evolving rapidly. These changes will affect practices and patients. Screening for airway / sleep problems will become the standard of care. Co-treating with practitioners of other disciplines will become the norm. Steven Carstensen and Barry Raphael will discuss the current and future state of airway and dentistry as well as report on the recent airway dental meeting at ADA headquarters on March 3 & 4, 2019.
They will also discuss the recent white paper issued by the AAO (American Association of Orthodontics).
What path will orthodontists, general dentists and the public follow? Will dental treatment be viewed as a commodity like eye glasses or an important component of overall health? What will your practice be in the next five years? What will patients want and where will they go for care? Drs. Carstensen and Raphael will discuss these topics and more
