Participants will become familiar with how to recognize sleep and breathing problems.
This presentation will also include an introduction to myofunctional therapy and how it can strengthen breathing ability.
Attendees will be able to see how a tongue-tie can affect sleep and breathing.
Scientific based literature will support the techniques and tools used to provide optimal treatment.
Dr. Susan Sheahan received her DMD at Nova Southeastern University and went on to the Air Force where she obtained a scholarship for an Advanced Education in General Dentistry internship.
Dr. Sheahan is an ambassador of The Breathe Institute and a liaison for the American Academy of Physiological Medicine and Dentistry. She is also a member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, Academy of General Dentistry, the ADA and the FDA. She is the founder of Breathing and Functional Dentistry.
Currently, Dr. Sheahan maintains a private practice in Bradenton, Florida
