C-GASP Validation Study: Provide Airway Screening for ALL

Each October 2 is Global Airway Health Day, and this year the focus is on research. In this webinar The Foundation for Airway Health (FAH) is calling on dental healthcare practitioners to support our goals by participating in research to provide screening for all in need.

C-GASP (Children’s General Airway Screening Protocol)was developed as a screening tool to identify children aged 2-12 who may have airway, sleep, and breathing problems (ASB) leading to sleep disturbances and altered daytime functioning. The study is to compare results from the patient screening form to assessment by a healthcare practitioner in a dental office; and it’s a next step forward to the validation of the screening form to be adopted by the ADA as standard of care.

Dr. Loria Nahatis, joined by panelists, will present how the assessment will be done, further discuss the overall project, and share how your practice can participate.  The FAH is looking for 75 dental offices to participate in the study.
