Dr. Lynda Dean-Duru, DDS, graduated first in her class at the University of Benin Dental School in her native country, Nigeria. Her dedication to holistic health is reflected in her extensive continuing education in orthodontics, dental sleep medicine, dental cranial osteopathy, and orofacial myology. She is certified amongst others in Advanced Light Functionals (ALF) therapy, a treatment philosophy that uses brain-friendly custom-made appliances to promote proper neurology, craniofacial development and optimal airway function. Additionally, she is a member of the prestigious Gnathos Orthodontic Education Group, Mastership at the World Clinical Laser Institute, Fellowship at the Academy of Laser Dentistry and a Fellow at the United States Dental Institute. Following her own sleep apnea journey, she integrates these advanced techniques in her pediatric practice to prevent sleep apnea and breastfeeding difficulties in infants.
Dr. Krystle Dean-Duru, DDS, inspired by her mother’s passion, followed in her footsteps. With a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Columbia University and a Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Virginia Commonwealth University, Dr. Krystle further honed her skills during her specialty pediatric residency at the Interfaith Department of Dental Medicine in Brooklyn, New York, where she served as Chief Resident. Her specialized continuing education training includes pediatric dental sleep medicine, airway orthodontics, and functional Frenuloplasty, positioning her as a leading expert in addressing pediatric airway, sleep, and growth issues.
