Integrated Team Approach to Orofacial Myology

This course reviewed the history of orofacial myofunctional disorders (OMDs), anatomy and physiology related to oral structures and functions, orofacial development, swallow patterning, and oral rest posture. Introduction to the etiological factors, identification process, and systemic change guided by treatment programs for OMDs was provided. The course will also targeted specific strategies for building an integrated allied health team for comprehensive treatment of OMDs with supporting literature and current research.
