Trilogy of the Trigeminal describes the unraveling and pivotal role of this cranial nerve in dentistry and medical practice and how the anatomy and functions are connected to the upper airway. We uncover how disruptions in this trilogy may impact airway health and how we approach treatment in a collaborative delivery platform: two cases will be presented.
Dr. Karen Davidson has held many positions in the medical device industry over the past 25 years, specifically in the ENT and Sleep markets, and 29 years of clinical experience to include service as a Flight Nurse in the US Air Force Reserves. She serves as the Vice President at GM Instruments, Ltd. and research partner with the Harrison COVISD-19 Research group with a special interest in and published on the technology of objective nasal measurements, nasal physiology, clinical application, reimbursement, health economics, and health policy. She is adjunct faculty at Central Michigan University, Health Administration Division, School of Health Professions and Liberty University, School of Health Sciences. She is a graduate of UNC Chapel Hill School of Nursing, University of Phoenix, and Central Michigan University. She is the recipient of Central Michigan University’s Outstanding Dissertation Award for academic research. Dr. Davidson is currently a co-author of two books writing a chapter about nasal function and resistance.
