Dr. Martha Cortes

The DNA ™ system now known as Vivos ™ Life: Appliance therapy for remodeling the Airway as treatment of Sleep Disorders breathing and facial enhancement
Simple to Interdisciplinary clinical cases in PNEUMOPEDICS
Director of Sleep Fitness, LLC
Learn to properly recognize what sleep-breathing disorders are and what they look like – most patients are asymptomatic and misdiagnosed with other labels.
Many individuals are convinced their symptoms are “normal aging” since their physician’s perspective considers an individual’s presented symptoms as common sign of aging; and their basic blood chemistry has no abnormalities except they are pre-diabetic, have a slight elevation in blood pressure and have been experiencing slight weight gain. But the case may be deeper than that. Sleep breathing disorders are not simple to diagnose, and it is important to address these conditions properly so that the condition does not progress.
An individual that shows up with a broken tooth may have more conditions evolving, which were misdiagnosed previously. Bruxism may have caused their tooth to break, but what is the underlying cause? Their symptoms, such as arousals during sleep, could be because of respiratory distress and a lack of oxygen due to a sleep breathing disorder.
This is a metabolic syndrome slowly creeping in – the premise often is a sleep disorder breathing in disguised as a syndrome, showing up as a cracked tooth.
