This lecture will help the general practitioner involved in the treatment of patients with Obstructive Sleep Apnoea and Temporomandibular Joint Disorder understand the timing for surgical intervention. Diagnostic modalities and proper and current knowledge of the pathologies involved will be explored. Additionally, the importance of proper airway, function, occlusion, facial profiles, and factors that lead to a stable outcome will be discussed. Various surgical interventions from conservative to definitive will be examined with case series and long-term follow ups.
