The Tipping Point Children’s Airway Health: The Role of the Dental Team. The Future is Now

Steve Carstensen has organized a landmark roundtable and conference, “Children’s Airway Health: A Practical Guide” that will be hosted by the American Dental Association, August 23 – 25 at the ADA headquarters in Chicago. Steve is bringing together Dentists, Physicians, Orthodontists, Pediatricians, Psychologists, Researchers and Myofunctional Therapists to discuss the role of dentistry in Children’s Airway Health along with Growth and Development and Overall Health.

This webinar will be a preview of this historic meeting. Why airway? Why now? It will be an opportunity to learn, listen and share your input on what a dental office screening program should include.

Steve Carstensen DDS has been treating sleep apnea and snoring for 18 years, has completed training at UCLA’s Mini-Residency in Sleep, and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine. He lectures internationally at over 20 events per year training dentists in sleep medicine, directing sleep education at the Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education and Spear Education, and is a faculty member of the Sleep Residency Program at University of the Pacific.

For the AADSM he was a Board Member, Secretary-Treasurer and President-Elect. From 2007 – 2010 Steve served the ADA on the Council for Annual Sessions and was Chair of the 2010 ADA meeting. Since 2014 he has been Editor-in-Chief of Dental Sleep Practice Magazine. With a partner he founded Premier Sleep, a practice in Bellevue, WA entirely devoted to helping people breathe better and sleep better.
